Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms carefully. By entering the Prize Draw you accept these terms in full.
1. The Promoter
The Promoter is T5C Technology Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11034162, whose registered office is at 125 Deansgate, Manchester, England, M3 2BY ("we", "us", "our", the "Promoter").

2. Nature of the Prize Draw
This is a free prize draw. It is not a lottery, a competition requiring payment, or any other form of gambling regulated under the Gambling Act 2005. No payment is required to enter or to claim a prize.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Entry is open to individuals who are:
- (a) aged 18 or over at the date of entry;
- (b) resident in the United Kingdom.
3.2 The following are not eligible to enter: employees, directors, officers and contractors of the Promoter; members of their immediate families or households; and anyone else professionally connected with this Prize Draw or its administration.
3.3 We may require proof of age, identity, residence and business status before awarding a prize. If an entrant cannot provide satisfactory proof within 7 days of being asked, we may disqualify that entrant and select an alternative winner.
4. Promotion Period
4.1 The Prize Draw opens at 17:00 on 18 September 2026 and closes at 23:00 on 30 October 2026 (the "Promotion Period"). All times are UK time.
4.2 Because the Qualifying Activity takes up to 7 days to complete (clause 6.1), the final date to register under clause 5.1 is 23:00 on 23 October 2026. Registrations after that date are welcome but cannot qualify for the Prize Draw, and we will say so clearly at the point of sign-up.
4.3 To be eligible, an entrant must have completed all Qualifying Activity before the closing time in clause 4.1.
4.4 Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted. We accept no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, delayed, corrupted, or not received for any reason, including network or technical failure.
5. How to enter — Stage 1: Registration
5.1 Register for a Jan (The Back Office) account ("Jan") at thebackoffice.uk/early-access during the Promotion Period using a valid email address and complete and accurate registration details.
5.2 Registration alone does not enter you into the Prize Draw. You must also complete the Qualifying Activity set out in clause 6.
5.3 Only one account per person and per business may be used to enter. Where we reasonably believe multiple accounts have been created by or for the same person or business, we may treat them as a single entry or disqualify them all.
6. How to enter — Stage 2: Qualifying Activity
6.1 The Qualifying Period. Each entrant has a period of seven (7) consecutive days, beginning on the day they register under clause 5.1, in which to complete the Qualifying Activity (the "Qualifying Period"). Both requirements in clause 6.2 must be completed inside that 7-day window. Activity before registration or after the Qualifying Period ends does not count.
6.2 To be entered into the Prize Draw, a registered entrant must complete both of the following during their Qualifying Period:
- (a) Complete onboarding — finish all steps of the Jan onboarding flow, including sharing your business details and completing the brand setup.
- (b) Create a quote or an invoice — create at least one (1) quote or at least one (1) invoice with Jan.
6.3 For the avoidance of doubt, clause 6.2(b) requires one document in total, not one of each. Creating either a quote or an invoice satisfies it.
6.4 The Promotion Period in clause 4 sets the outer limit for the Prize Draw as a whole. An entrant's individual Qualifying Period must fall entirely within it, so entrants must register at least 7 days before the closing date in order to qualify.
6.5 Completion of Qualifying Activity is determined solely by the Promoter's own product records. Those records are final. We are not able to accept screenshots or other evidence as an alternative.
6.6 Entrants will receive confirmation by email once they have qualified.
7. Genuine use required
7.1 Qualifying Activity must reflect genuine, good-faith use of the product for the entrant's own business purposes.
7.2 We may disqualify any entrant (at any stage, including after a prize has been awarded) where we reasonably believe they have:
- (a) created fictitious, duplicate or test clients, quotes or invoices solely to satisfy clause 6;
- (b) used automated means, scripts or bots to generate activity;
- (c) registered multiple accounts, or used another person's identity or business details;
- (d) tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Prize Draw; or
- (e) acted in a way that is fraudulent, abusive or otherwise contrary to the spirit of this Prize Draw.
7.3 Where a prize has already been awarded to a disqualified entrant, we may require its return or reimbursement of its value.
8. No purchase necessary
8.1 Registration for a Jan (The Back Office) account and completion of the Qualifying Activity is free of charge. No purchase is necessary and no payment is required at any stage to enter or to claim a prize.
8.2 Entrants are responsible for their own internet access and any data charges incurred, which are charged at their provider's standard rate.
9. Entries
9.1 Each entrant who completes the Qualifying Activity receives one (1) entry into the Prize Draw. Additional activity does not generate additional entries.
9.2 Entries are personal to the entrant and cannot be transferred, sold or assigned.
10. The Prize
10.1 The prize is one (1) Screwfix e-gift card with a face value of £200 (the "Prize"). There is one (1) Prize available. The e-gift card is delivered by email.
10.2 The Prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher issuer, including any expiry date and any restrictions on use; those terms are published by Screwfix at screwfix.com and are supplied with the e-gift card. The Prize is not valid in conjunction with other offers.
10.3 The Prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative in whole or in part.
10.4 We reserve the right to substitute the Prize for one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make the stated Prize unavailable.
10.5 The winner is responsible for any tax liability arising from receipt of the Prize and for seeking independent advice on it where necessary. A voucher received in connection with business activity may be taxable.
10.6 Nothing else — including travel, insurance, or any cost of using the Prize — is included.
10.7 Screwfix is not a sponsor of, and is not associated with, this Prize Draw.
11. Selection of the winner
11.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries by a computerised random selection process on or around 4 November 2026.
11.2 The draw will be conducted under the supervision of an independent adjudicator, whose details are available on request.
11.3 The Promoter's decisions on all matters relating to this Prize Draw are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Notification and claiming the Prize
12.1 The winner will be notified by email at the address used to register, within 5 working days of the draw.
12.2 The winner must respond to confirm acceptance and provide any details required to deliver the Prize within 14 days of the notification being sent.
12.3 If the winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, does not respond within the period in clause 12.2, is found to be ineligible, or declines the Prize, we reserve the right to withdraw the Prize and select an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries.
12.4 The Prize will be delivered within 30 days of the draw, or within 30 days of the winner providing the details required to deliver it, whichever is later.
13. Publication of the winner
13.1 In line with the CAP Code, the surname and county of the winner will be available by writing to T5C Technology Limited, 125 Deansgate, Manchester, England, M3 2BY, or by emailing support@thebackoffice.uk, within one month of the closing date. The winner's details will be provided on request only and will not be published on this website.
13.2 An entrant may object to their surname and county being made available, or ask for the amount of information provided to be reduced, by contacting us at support@thebackoffice.uk before the draw date. We will still need to provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
13.3 Participation in publicity is not a condition of entry. If we would like the winner to take part in any publicity, we will ask separately and they are free to decline.
14. Data protection
14.1 The Promoter is the data controller for personal data collected in connection with this Prize Draw. Our privacy policy is available at thebackoffice.uk/privacy.
14.2 We will process entrants' personal data for the purposes of administering the Prize Draw, verifying eligibility, selecting and contacting the winner, delivering the Prize, and meeting our regulatory obligations. Our lawful basis for this is the performance of a contract with the entrant and our legitimate interests in running the promotion.
14.3 Entry into this Prize Draw is not conditional on consenting to receive marketing. Where we send marketing communications, we will do so on the basis of a separate consent or, where applicable, the soft opt-in, and entrants may withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time.
14.4 Personal data collected for this Prize Draw will be retained for six (6) months after the draw date and then deleted, except where we are required to keep it longer by law.
14.5 Entrants have rights over their personal data including access, rectification, erasure and objection. See our privacy policy for details, or contact support@thebackoffice.uk.
15. Liability
15.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15.2 Subject to clause 15.1, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from an entrant's participation in this Prize Draw or from acceptance or use of the Prize, including loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
15.3 We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third party involved in supplying or honouring the Prize, including the voucher issuer.
15.4 We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these terms caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
16. Changes and cancellation
16.1 We reserve the right to amend these terms, or to suspend, cancel or withdraw the Prize Draw, where it becomes necessary to do so for reasons outside our reasonable control or where continuing would be unfair to entrants.
16.2 Where we do so, we will publish the change on this page and, where reasonably practicable, notify entrants who have already qualified.
16.3 No change will unfairly disadvantage anyone who has already entered.
17. Platform disclaimer
This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook or Instagram). Entrants release Meta in full and understand that any information provided is provided to the Promoter and not to Meta.
18. General
18.1 These terms, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between the entrant and the Promoter in relation to this Prize Draw.
18.2 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
18.3 A person who is not a party to these terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of them.
18.4 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
