The Back Office is an AI-powered assistant for tradespeople and sole traders, delivered primarily through WhatsApp and Telegram. The service helps you manage quoting, invoicing, scheduling, client management, and other day-to-day business tasks. We also provide a web-based dashboard for overview and reporting.
The service uses artificial intelligence to process your requests. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content (including quotes, invoices, and calculations) should always be reviewed by you before sending to clients.
To use The Back Office, you need to create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old and a UK-based sole trader or business to use the service.
You must not share your account with others or allow anyone else to access the service through your account without our consent.
You own your data. Everything you create through The Back Office — client records, invoices, quotes, schedules — belongs to you. We don't claim any ownership over your content.
You grant us a licence to use your data solely to provide and improve the service. We will not share your business data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that the data you input (including client contact details) has been collected and shared with appropriate consent under UK GDPR.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms.
The Back Office offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed on our website and may change with reasonable notice.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer pro-rata refunds for partial months.
If you're within 14 days of your first paid subscription and haven't used the service extensively, you may request a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Contact us at hello@thebackoffice.ai.
You can request an export of your data at any time. If you cancel your account, we'll make your data available for export for 30 days after cancellation. After that, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We aim to keep The Back Office available 24/7, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to carry out maintenance, updates, or deal with issues beyond our control. We'll try to give advance notice of planned downtime where possible.
The service depends on third-party platforms including WhatsApp, Telegram, and various cloud providers. We are not responsible for outages or changes to those platforms.

The Back Office brand, software, AI models, website design, and all associated intellectual property belong to Checkd Development Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the service without our written permission.
The invoice templates we provide are licensed for your business use within the service. You may use generated invoices and quotes freely in the course of your business.
We may suspend or terminate your account if:

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
